His grandfather, father, six uncles, and five cousins were/are paperhangers. In high school, Chuck's student exhibit for wallpaper hanging was selected as V.I.C.A. (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) best in state. He completed his training in professional wallcovering installations with the American School of Paperhanging Arts and became the first SBPA Certified Instructor on the west coast.
